A 37-year-old man was arrested regarding the murder of Kannada newspaper editorial manager Gauri Lankesh in the city almost a half year prior, police said on Friday. KT Naveen Kumar, held for unlawful ownership of shots, is allegedly associated with radical Hindutva equip called the Hindu Yuva Sena.

“KT Naveen Kumar was arrested by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police for addressing,” SIT Investigating Officer MN Anucheth told IANS in Bengaluru. Kumar hails from Birur town in Chikkamagaluru locale, around 250 kilometer west from Bengaluru, Anucheth said.
