DCP Joy Tirkey releasing photograph of JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh as one of the suspect behind JNU Violence

I too have evidence : Aishe Ghosh

The Delhi Police Crime Branch has identified nine people including JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh as suspect in JNU Violence. Addressing a press brief , DCP Crime Joy Tirkey disclosed nine suspects and also released their photographs .

According to Delhi Police DCP, “Unfortunately the CCTV footages were not available to us as the server room was vandalized a day before (4th January) . We have identified some people based on viral videos and other investigations. ”

He also added ” We will serve notices to the identified people and ask them about their presence during the violence”

Meanwhile , responding to the development, JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh said “Delhi Police can do their inquiry . I also have evidence to show how I was attacked ”

Aishe Ghosh also said “I have full faith in the law and order of this country that investigation will be fair. I will get injustice. But why is Delhi Police bias ? My complaint has not been filed as an FIR. I have not carried out any assaul”

The Students so far identified as suspects by the Delhi Police Crime Branch are :

  2. Vikas Patel, MA Korean Studies
  3. Pankaj Mishra, School of Social Science
  4. Chunchun Kumar, Former JNU Student
  5. Yogendra Bhardwaj , Ph.D Sanskrit
  6. Dolan Samanta , School of Social Science
  7. Sucheta Talukdar , School of Social Science
  8. Priya Ranjan , School of Language and Cultural Study
  9.  Vaskar Vijay

According to Delhi Police most of them are belongs from Left Wing Student’s Organisations .
