Modi Government Spent More Than Rs.2.64 Crore On Advertisement of Unveiling of Statue of Unity : RTI Disclosure

Statue of Unity’s Advertisement Cost 

Narendra Modi led Indian Government spent more than 2.64 Crores on publicity in the media for the inauguration ceremony of “Statue of Unity” (Statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel) . Prime Minister Narendra Modi Unveiling the Statue of Unity on 31st October 2018 on Sardar Patel’s 143rd Birth Anniversary . Statue of Unity is tallest statue in the World.

On the reply of Jitin Desai’s RTI question , The Information and Broadcasting Ministry replied that the Central Government spent a total Rs.2,62,48,463 in Electronic Media Advertisement and Rs.1,68,415 in advertisement in the Print Media. For information , Sardar Patel’s 182 meters high Statue (Statue of Unity) is located in Gujarat ,about 100 KM South East Vadodara, on the Island of Narmada near Kevadia. It has been built at a cost of around Rs.3000 Crores .
