Vijay Mallya Extradition Plea

On 8th April , Monday, a UK Court rejects Vijay Mallya plea against extradition to India. The 63 years old former Kingfisher Airlines boss has filled the application seeking “leave to appeal” in the High Court on February 14 against his extradition order which was signed by UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid.
Following the development Vijay Mallya will now have the option to appeal to the UK Supreme Court . The former Kingfisher King Vijay Mallya faces the charges of fraud , money laundering and violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Vijay Mallya had fled the country in 2016 after defaulting on loan payments to the tune of Rs. 9000 Crore ro a consortium of 31 banks .
