Amid Covid wave, Students demand #CancelBoardExams2021
The ongoing coronavirus second wave could peak by mid-April
With the second wave of Coronavirus hitting India, the chorus for cancellation of CBSE Board Examination 2021 has grown louder with trending hashtag #CancelBoardExams2021.
Students are demanding cancellation of upcoming board examinations, or at least a postponement for now. The demand grown louder after the Maharashtra Government decided to promote students from classes 1 to 8 without them having to give exams.
Taking the twitter, several students and parents rallied together using #CancelBoardExams2021 to protest against the upcoming CBSE and other Board examinations which will be held via offline mode as per notified schedule.
“CBSE should conduct exams online or they should cancel it, since the virus is fastly spreading along the people and the cases are going on its peak day by day. Exams are important but not more than life dude. They must conduct online exams/general promotion” says a popular tweet ” Students health is more important and should be given priority. Cantre should release that if the students are asked to give offline exams, it will not only harm their health but also put their family’s health in jeopardy”
A student wrote “Mexico-1300 cases, exams cancelled. Saudi Arabia-541 cases, exams cancelled, Kuwait- 1400 cases, exams cancelled. India-82000 cases exams to be held as scheduled”
Meanwhile, the CBSE has assured that it would take ample measures to ensure the safety and security of students appearing in the Class 10th and 12th exams.
