Bengaluru: The demands for postpone of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2020) and cancel final year exams & promote students on the basis of internal assignment are trending on social media amid coronavirus pandemic situation in the state. Nerizens demanding Justice for Karnataka students.
Actually, the Karnataka Government, on Tuesday, has decided to conduct the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2020) on July 30 and 31 across the state.
For the smooth conduct of KCET 2020, the government has extended a four day quarantine relaxation for students and their parents and guardians from outside the state and country.
Karnataka’s Higher Education Minister Dr. C N Ashwath Narayan told that the government would take precautionary measures to conduct the KCET as it did during the SSLC examination 2020.
This year, over 1.95 lakh students will sit the KCET at 120 places in 497 examination centers across the state.
The Kannada Test for students from the border regions in neighboring states will be held on August 1.
In Bengaluru city, around 40,200 students will sit KCET in 83 exam centers. almost 30 foreign students also take part the said exam.
According to state government guidelines, thermal screening, wearing of face mask, and social distance norms will be strictly followed. The exam centers will be sanitized two days prior to the exam dates.
Students who shows mild symptoms of coronavirus will also be made to write the exam separately. Sufficient Bus transportation and emergency ambulance services also be provided.
