DIAT Pune develops ‘ANANYA’ disinfectant spray to combat Coronavirus

Pune, ANI : Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) , Pune, a Deemed University, has developed ‘ANANYA’ a Nano Technology based disinfectant spray to fight against novel coronavirus by disinfecting all types of surfaces.
It has been named “ANANYA” . This can be used by anyone , from a common man to healthcare worker , for individual as well as large scale use.
This ‘ANANYA’ disinfectant spray can be used on masks, PPEs, Hospital linens, as well as other likely contaminated surfaces such as medical instruments , elevator buttons, door knobs ,corridor and rooms.

This nano technology assisted formulation will not only stop the COVID-19 from entering human body , but it will also kill the Wuhan virus when it comes with contact with this formulation layer on masks and PPEs.
This is water based spray and will be effective for more than 24 hours after spray.
This formulation adhere very effectively to fabric , plastic and metallic objects and its toxicity to humans to is negligible. The shelf life of the spray is said to be more than 6 months.
Commercial production of this spray is in progress. It will be available in various sizes .
