First Covid-19 Positive Case Reported in Murshidabad

A Man from Salar has Tested Positive

Berhampore : A man from Murshidabad has tested positive for novel coronavirus . Few days ago, the cancer patient old man returned to his native village at Salar after cancer treatment. But, on Thursday, due to novel coronavirus like symptoms , his family members transferred him to Beleghata ID Hospital , where he tested Covid-19 positive.

The Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) of Murshidabad Dr. Prasanta Biswas confirmed the Covid-19 positive news . According to him , the old man from Salar tested Covid-19 positive in Kolkata . He added “People from that family have been brought in our observation. Medical team also trying to find out who else has come in contact with the family”
