Digital Desk , Bengaluru: Karnataka Municipal Elections 2019 latest result updates . The counting of votes was underway for Karnatak Urban local body elections 2019. As per the trends , the Congress-JDS combine was far ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). After the Narendra Modi’s Led BJP’s emphatic victory in the General Elections 2019, appears to be little impact on karnataka’s urban body Municipal Elections 2019.

Almost 63 ULBs , 8 city Municipal Councils, 33 town Municipal councils and 22 town Panchayats – comprising 1361 Municipal wards went to poll on 29th May 2019. As per latest result trends , Congress has won over 509 seats , BJP won over 366 and JS(S) trailing third with 174 seats.

Karnataka: Results of 7 City Municipal Council; out of 217 seats Congress wins 90, BJP wins 56, JD(S) wins 38, BSP wins 2, independents win 25 seats and others win 6 seats.

In last year Elections, when 105 ULBs went to polls, The Congress won 982, BJP 929 and JD(S) 375. Independent candidates won in 329 wards.
