“We Want Justice” : Democratic Demand of Doctors

Kolkata : “Save the Doctors”. What is going on in West Bengal. it seems , there has no law and order at all. Medicare services across West Bengal remained disrupted for the third day as Junior Doctors in Government hospitals continued their strike demanding fool proof security after as an assault on them by a mob after the 85 years old patient death in NRS Hospital and Medical College.

West Bengal Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee directed agitating doctors in the state to resume work and threaten to take action if orders are not followed.

Mamata Banerjee faced protest by Junior Doctors who shouted “We Want Justice” when she visited SSKM Hospital . At the spot, Mamata Banerjee expressed anger and gave the doctors a deadline to resume duty . “The Government will not take any responsibility of those who would not do so (join duty). They will also have to vacate the hostels.” . She added “The state spends Rs.25 lakh on each doctor and then they shirk work. This would not be tolerated. Are they Doctors ? ”

Member of Parliament (MP) of Berhampore Constituency Sri. Adhi Ranjan Chowhury shared a facebook post on the issue of threatening .
