Kohima : Nagaland reported first coronavirus positive cases on May 25. Total 3 persons ; 2 from Dimapur and 1 from Kohima tested Covid-19 positive today. According to the Chief Minister of Nagaland , Neiphiu Rio, “We need to handle it with utmost care and responsibility. Necessary action to contact tracing and containment measures are being taken and situation closely monitored”
Menukhol John, Nagaland’s Principal Secretary of Health, said three people , two men and one woman, who returned from Chennai last week tested positive for Wuhan Virus.

He added “Two of them are showing mild symptoms and one is asymptomatic . There swab samples are tested at the BSL-2 in Kohima”
It is officially , Nagaland is the last of the North-Eastern states after Sikkim to report coronavirus positive cases during the 4th stage of nation wide lockdown. However, a 33 year old trader based in Dimapur had tested positive in GMCH Guwahati on April 12.
