Punjab issues revised guidelines for incoming travelers
Amritsar : Department of health and family welfare of Punjab Government issued revised instructions for people coming into the state (International as well as Domestic) by all means of transport i.e. Air, Railway and by road. The revised travel instructions ( No- CoVID-19/4HB4/2020/SBPI) issued on May 25.

Guidelines for International Travelers :
- All persons ariving to Punjab state through airport/ seaport/ land port will handover self declaration form having personal and health details to state officers. They would be screened as per the health protocol at the port of entry
- The passengers found to be symptomatic during screening shall be taken to health facility for testing. If found positive they would be treated as per health protocol
- Asymptomatic passengers and those found negetive will be taken into institutional quarantine (govt/ hotel qauarantine) on payment basis and will be tested on the 5th day . If tested negetive , they shall be allowed to go home after completion of 7 days institutional quarantine.
- If tested positive they shall be shifted to govt. Isolation facility and treated as per health protocol
- All such passengers will download COVA app which should remain active.
- In case of exceptional circumstances such as pregnancy / death of immediate family member/ severe mental illness , concered deputy commissioner may allow for 14 days home quarantine instead of institutional quarantine.
Guidelines for Domestic Travel:
- All persons ariving through air, rail road will be screened at the entry point for symptoms of covid-19
- The passengers found to be symptomatic during screening shall be taken to health facility for testing. If tested positive would be treated as per health protocol
- If asymptomatic or tested negetive , they will be allowed to go home after submitting an undertaking for home quarantine for 14 days and self monitoring of their health status and must report to nearest health facility in case of development of any symptoms of novel coronavirus
- All such passengers will download COVA app which should remain active.
