WB MIC Chandrima Bhattacharya Claims Governor Doing Political Drama
Berhampore (Murshidabad) : Again West Bengal’s governor and Mamata Banerjee led TMC government political controversy raised. West Bengal’s Governor Jagdeep Dhankar on Thursday said democracy was being ‘humiliated ‘ in the state.He expressed outrage after he arrived at the state legislative assembly only the to find the gates locked. The Governor walked in from Gate 2 and found that Gate 3 designated for the governor was closed.
WB Governor Mr. Dhankar claimed that had written to the Speaker of the Assembly informing him about his visit. He added “When I arrived at the assembly, the gate meant for the Governor and other VVIPs was closed, but I entered the assembly through another gate which was open. There was a deathly silence in the assembly on a working day ”

Speaking to the media, Governor said: “The purpose of my visit to the assembly was to see the historic building, the background and to visit the library. The assembly is scheduled to be open throughout the year; an assembly not being in session does not mean that the assembly is closed.”
The Governor said the incident is a ‘sad day for the democracy of the state’ .
In reply about the situation, West Bengal’s MIC and leader of Mahila Trinamool Congress Smt. Chandrima Bhattacharya claimed “Governor stands is purely a political drama. He doing politics in the state.”
Actually, today, Murshidabad Mahila TMC leader and a Karmadhakhya of Murshidabad Zilla Parishad Smt. Sahanaj Begam organized a big workers meeting at the heart of the Berhampore city ‘Rabindra Sadan’ for upcoming Municipality election strategy. Chandrima was the chief guest on this programme. WB MIC Chandrima Bhattacharya said that ‘In a good leadership under Sahanaj , Murshidabad Mahila TMC did very well in last Loksabha Election. TMC won 2 seats out of 3. The percentage of Mahila workers was amazing to delivered the victory. ”
She also added ‘West Bengal governor roll is purely political and he did a political drama at gate no 2 in West Bengal Assembly ”
