Digital Desk : Very bad news for West Bengal State Government and government aided employees. The term of the office of sixth pay commission has been extended by another 6 months for submitting its report containing recommendations of restructuring of salary of state government employees.
A resolution has been issued on 27th May 2019 (Monday) stated that “The governor is pleased to extend the term of the office of the Chairman and the member of 6th Pay Commission , West Bengal, constituted under Finance Department Resolution No- 8070-F(P) dated 27/11/2015, upto 31/12/2019”
It may be mentioned that the 6th Pay Commission headed by economist Prof. Abhirup Sarkar , was constituted in November 2015 and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the setting up of the same for its recommendation for restructuring salary of the state government employees.
