CBSE Board Exams to be held between July 1-15

New Delhi : On Friday, Union HRD  minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced that the remaining CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 final board examinations , that were pit off amid coronavirus pandemic , would be conducted from July 1 to July 15, 2020. He clarified that only 29 main papers will be conducted in due dates. However, the detailed exams schedule for the CBSE board examinations is yet to be released soon.

“The students have been impatiently waiting for the schedule for pending exams. It has been decided today that the exams will be conducted from July 1 to 15. The CBSE will announce a detailed schedule of the exams later in the evening”  said by HRD minister.

Earlier, the CBSE reiterated its decision of conducting the Class 10 and 12 examinations. In its circular dated April 1, 2020, the Board stated that it was unable to conduct exams on 8 days across the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic while exams could not be held on 4 days in North East Delhi District due to the communal riots. Thereafter, the CBSE observed that it would conduct exams only for main subjects required for promotion and admission in higher educational institutions. It elaborated that only the Class 10 students in North East Delhi will have to write the exam for 6 subjects.

Universities and schools across the country were closed and exams postponed on March 16 when the central governent announced a countrywide classroom shutdown as one of the measures to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.
