Delhi, in almost community transmission stage

New Delhi : Just day after record novel coronavirus positive cases in the national capital, the Health Minister Satyendra Jain on Friday said that “the lockdown imposed to the precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 will not be extended in Delhi” . On Thursday, Delhi reported highest single day spike in CoVID-19 cases with 1877 new positive cases. Delhi is the third Indian state to record 34000 COVID positive cases after Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.

According to ANI report , “No, the lockdown will not be extended ” Jain said on being asked if there have been discussions on extend lockdown in Delhi considering the spike in novel coronavirus cases.

Meanwhile, yesterday, 1877 more COVID-19 cases and 65 deaths recorded in the national capital. Total number of positive cases is now at 34,687 including 20,871 active cases , 12,731 recovered and 1085 deaths.
