Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala coronavirus update as on May 16 (Saturday). 11 new novel coronavirus positive cases registered in Kerala today; 4 from Thrissur, 3 from Kozhikode , 2 each from Palakkad and Malappuram districts. There are total 87 cases in the state as of today evening.
According to Kerala Health Minister K.K. Shailaja , all these 11 persons are from outside the state. Seven people are foreign returnee and two each from Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
According to the report, a total of 56,981 people are under observation in various districts of the state. Out of these, 56, 362 are in homes and 619 are in hospitals. 182 people are admitted to hospitals today. So far, swab samples of 43,669 individuals have been sent for testing.
