IMD issues ‘Orange’ warning of heavy rainfall in Mumbai

Mumbai : The IMD has issued ‘Orange’ warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall for next two days in Mumbai and other coast areas including Pune. As per ANI report, a portion of a house collapses at Pavwala street, Grant road in Mumbai. No injuries reported initially.

However, the weather forecast indicates very heavy spells with possibilities of isolated extremely heavy rains. The trends is likely to continue tomorrow as well with little reduced intensity.

Meanwhile, water logging has been reported in low lying areas of Hindmata, King Cycle, Mahim Junction, SV Road, Andheri, Khar Subway, KGC Bandra and Chandivali junction.

The Mumbai police has requested people to avoid these routes and venture out only if it is essential.
