Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has announced that the state government has decided to to give Rs.5 Crore cash, a residential plot and Group-1 job to Colonel Santosh Babu’s family. The CM also said that, ex-gratia of Rs.10 lakh each to the 19 soldiers’s who were martyred in Galwan Valley. The amount will be handed over the bereaved families through the Union Defence Minister.
The KCR said he would soon visit the family members of Col Santosh Babu and present the Cheque personally on behalf of the Telangana Government.

The CM said that the State Government would extend complete support to the family of Col Santosh Babu in future. He felt that the entire nation should stand and extend support to the families of the soldiers who were guarding the border.
He stated “We must display the symbol of Unity and send a strong signal that the nation is with them and their families. Our actions will install confidence among the armed forces personnel and their families”
However, the last rites of Col Santosh Babu were performed with the full military honours at his family’s agricultural firm in Suryapet district on Thursday. Col survived his wife and two children.
