A Tribal Woman physically assaulted in Basirhat’s Haroa
Haroa : Rape in dark of night ?
Basirhat : A tribal woman from Basirhat subdivision of West Bengal, was dragged from her house and physically assaulted ,then abandoned beside a pond on Wednesday night. The brutal incident took place at Munshigheri village under Haroa Police Station in North 24 Paragans.
On Thursday morning, locals saw the woman lying half-naked beside a pond side road. The villagers rescued her and informed to Haroa Police station. The villagers alleged that after gang-rape, miscreants tied her hand and leave her senseless body beside a pond.
BJP’s National General Secretary and Central observer for West Bengal, Kailash Vijayvargiya tweeted “This gruesome gang rape of a destitute woman in Basirhat’s Harauna is a daily reminder of the law of the jungle that is in place in Bengal where the mighty eat the weak. These crimes against woman in this State goes to show that Mamata government has no ‘Mamta”
BJP Bengal tweeted “How many more ? In Basirhat, a tribal woman is gang-raped and home minister Mamata Banerjee remains a mute spectator. Woman are not safe in West Bengal. They are being gang-raped and murdered with impunity. It has become a commonplace. But Mamata Pishi remains unmoved”
State BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Barrackpore Lok Sabha Constituency tweeted “The state of Bengal which worshiped Maa Durga and Maa Kali, was under the rule of Didi. How the TMC goons raped this woman in Basirhat’s Hadoa … “
However, the entire village was hot with political conflicts for recent days. The victim’s husband came out of the house last night in the wake of bombarding sound. And, on that event miscreants brushed the house and took the lady to an empty filed where she reportedly gang-rapped.
Tensions have spread throughout the area since the incident. The entire area has taken the look of a battlefield demanding the arrest of the accused. Protesters are going on by obstructing the streets and consuming tires to demand Justice.
