Adhir Writes a open letter to Modi

New Delhi : Member of Parliamsnt from Berhampore Lok Sabha Constituency, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, writes a open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating “West Bengal Administration has miserably failed to cope with this disastrous situation, therefore i request you to send more contingents of Army Personnel’

The PAC chairman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury writes –

  • A large area has been inundated along with ingress of sea water also having acute shortage of drinking water , decomposed bodies of animals are floating around which many contaminate the water is another major area of concern
  • Large part of the devasted area, still has been denied electicity , even the city Kolata , the capital of West Bengal , power has not been restored .
  • Serious patients are gasping for lives due to the power outage for last seven days in a row
  • The State administration has been miserably failed to cope with the disastrous situation.
Adhir writes open letter to Modi

However, the Central Government already deployed five columns of the Army in different parts of Kolkata and North & South 24 Parganas , on Saturday, for restoration of essential infrastructure and services in the wake of the destruction caused by Cyclone Amphan.

Meanwhile, An Army column has 35 personnel, including officers and junior commissioned officers.
