Jitendra Tiwari : ‘Will apologize to Mamata Banerjee”

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress MLA and former Mayor of Asansol Municipal Corporation, Jitendra Tiwari made a U-turn on Friday evening saying he is still with the party and will continue to remain with it, as per report.

Jitendra Tiwari’s political U-turn came a day after he said he has resigned from All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).

This U-turn came following his meeting with the State Minister Arup Biswas. Political Strategist Prashant Kishor (PK) was also present at the meeting. It is learnt that Tiwari apologized to party Supremo Mamata Banerjee during his meeting with Arup Biswas.

However, earlier in a long video post on Facebook, Babu Supriyo, Union Minister and two times M.P from Asansol Parliamentary constituency, said ” I write this because some elements are trying to spread the rumours that i have had under-the-table dealing with the TMC leader of Asansol and now they are doing ‘thing’ to jump into BJP”

“Let me tell you very clearly that I do not havebthe mentality to do such convert deals betraying the trust of my BJP collegues with whom we fought the battle to do defeat and eradicate TMC from Asansol/Bengal” he added “What my top bosses decide is a different thing but I will try my very best all my mighty and honesty to ensure that No TMC leader who tormented, tortured (both physically & mentally) my grass root level BJP collogues in Asansol, don’t get an entry in BJP”

Meanwhile, On Thursday, Pandabeswar’s MLA Jitendra Tiwari announced his resignation from the TMC after stepping down as the chief of the Asansol Municipal Corporation (AMC). It seems that Bubul Supriyo’s objection is likely to be one of the factors behind the political U-turn within.
