Mamata Banerjee expressed condolences

Kolkata: Again a sad demise of frontline COVID warrior in West Bengal. Councilor of Ward No-6 of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Shri Subhash Bose, on Wednesday morning, died of coronavirus. He was admitted to a private hospital on the side of Bypass due to Covid-19.

Chief Minister of West Bengal, Smt Mamata Banerjee tweeted “Saddened at the demise of our colleague and councilor of Ward 6, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation, Subhash Bose. One of the many brave souls who risked his life while working in the frontline. My condolences to his family, well wishers and friends”

Bidhannagar Councilor Subhash Bose dies of coronavirus

However, after over a week of recording less than 100 daily coronavirus cases, a total of 135 cases were recorded from Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation in last 24 hours. This is the single-day highest record from Bidhannagar (Salt Lake) area so far.
