Corona Invention : Durgapur CMERI developed portable touch free dispensing system
The Machine will be able to disinfects hands without any touch
Durgapur : Researchers at the Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) , a central laboratory in Durgapur, West Burdwan district of West Bengal, under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) , have developed the ‘Portable Touch Free Soap-Cum-Water Dispensing System’ using their own technology .
The Director of CMERI Durgapur, Harish Hirani, said that the special type of small machine will be able to wash or disinfect hands with soap and water without any touch.
CMERI researchers claims that the develop the ‘Portable touch free dispensing machine’ by following WHO guidelines to protect coronavirus outbreak. The stated ‘repeated contact with the faucet during hand washing increases the risk of Covid-19 infection. This touch free hand wash machine will not have such possibilities.
However, The Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (also known as CSIR-CMERI Durgapur) is a public Engineering Research and Development institute in Durgapur, West Bengal. This institute is the only national level research institute in the field of mechanical engineering in India.
