Madhu left the TMC party before Bengal Election to contest from 74-Naoda constituency as congress candidate

Berhampore: Mosharaf Hossain Mondal (Madhu), former Trinamool Congress leader and the Sabhadhipati (Chairman) of Murshidabad Zilla Parishad, has resigned from his post ahead no-confidence motion against him.

Mosaraf Hossain Mandal, popularly known as Madhu, left the ruling party before Bengal Assembly Election and joined Congress to contest the election from 74-Naoda constituency. But, he lost the election against Sahina Mumtaz Begum of TMC.

After the election result, TMC party brought a no-confidence motion against the Murshidabad Zila Parishad Sabhadhipati. May 24 was the day of the trust vote. But, just before the event, Madhu resigned from the post.

Trinamool Congress district President Abu Taher Khan said disciplinary action had taken against 11 people, including the Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati, Saha-Sabhadhipati (Vice-Chairman) and others for anti-party activities.
