Breaking News : Corona Positive in Murshidabad

Berhampore : Four novel coronavirus positive patients has been found in Murshidabad district on Sunday. Three of them are Delhi returnee migrants of Suti-2 blocks and the other is a female health worker of Jangipur sub-divisional hospital.

Dr. Sharmila Mallick , Super of Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital, said all four corona positive patients were admitted to Berhampore Matri-Sadan (Maternity) hospital.

Seven day ago , during third phase lockdown, three migrants of Suti-2 block rented an ambulance from Delhi and returned their native village Mahendrapur. After a few days, they felt sick and was treated at the local primary health centre. Their Swab samples were tested two days ago . Tonight their corona report comes positive.

On the other hand, a female healthcare staff , resident of word no-19 (pratappur area) of Jangipur (Raghunathganj) Municipality , tested positive for novel coronavirus.

However, in the last 24 hours , 153 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in West Bengal. 14 corona infected patients died in last 24 hours. As per state government data, till date total 113 people have died due to Covid-19 infection. In addition , 72 more people died due to comorbidity .
