Murshidabad : Three arrested with 32000 Yaba Tablets in Berhampore

Berhampore : Murshidabad District Police’s special operation group,on Sunday night, has arrested three drug traffickers along with Yaba Tablets worth Rs. 1 crore, which was being smuggled to the district from Coochbehar and its making its way to Bangladesh .

The District Police Super IPS K. Sabari Rajkumar , said “after receiving information from our secret sources, the Murshidabad police and SOG (Special Operation Group) team from Berhampore police station ,arrested three drug traffickers in a Maruti car at Berhampore Ramendra Sunder Trivedi Bridge on Sunday night”

He added “the arrested persons identified as Jabbar Sheikh, Manik Sarkar and Zakir Hossian, residents of Jalangi block of Murshidabad district. A 32,000 Yaba tablets ,worth Rs.1 crore , were recovered from them ‘
