Berhampore: Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) candidate Pradip Kumar Nandi, who tested positive for coronavirus four days ago, died at Berhampore Covid hospital on Friday. Left Front nominee from the 58-Jangipur assembly constituency in Murshidabad district was in home isolation and taken to Berhampore hospital on Thursday night after his condition deteriorated.

Dhuliyan Municipality administrator and ruling TMC leader Subal Saha died of Covid-19.

BJP candidate from Karimpur in Nadia, Samarendranath Ghosh and TMC candidate from Goalpokhor in North Dinajpur tested positive for coronavirus as well.

Earlier on Thursday, Congress candidate from Samserganj assembly seat, Rezaul Haque (popularly known as Mantu Biswas), passed away after battling Covid-19. He breathed his last at a private hospital in Kolkata.
