Purulia registered first covid positive case
Purulia : A Maharashtra returnee migrant worker tested for novel coronavirus in Raghunathpur-1 block. This is first Covid-19 positive case reported in the Purulia district. After 63 days of nationwide lockdown, Purulia registered first ever corona positive case.
According to district health department, the infected person is a migrant worker and Maharashtra returnee.
The swam sample of the migrant was sent to Medinipur Medical College & Hospital for testing. On Tuesday night, the report came back with Covid-19 positive sign.
The migrant who hail from Raghunathpur 1 block is undergoing treatment in nearest covid hospital . Those who directly interact with the infected person, also sent to quatantine.
