Bengal: Union Minister V. Muraleedharan’s car attacked by TMC goons
Minister has alleged that TMC goons were behind the attack
Kolkata: Union Minister of state for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan’s convoy was attacked allegedly by ruling TMC workers in West Bengal on Thursday noon. The incident took place in Panchkhudi area of West Midnapore district.
The Minister tool to twitter and shared visuals of the attack where locals are seen with lathis attacking his car. Some are also seen pelting stones at Muraleedharan’s car.
Minister said “TMC goons attacked my convoy in West Midnapore, broken windows, attacked personal staff. Cutting short my trip #BengalBurning “
Speaking to AzadHindNews, Muraleedharan said that the attack was orchestrated by TMC workers. He claimed that the incident took place in the presence of police, adding that the Mamata Banerjee Government has turned a blind eye.
Meanwhile, following the missive victory in Bengal Assembly polls, there have been reports of widespread violence in the state with many BJP offices and party workers being allegedly targeted by the TMC workers.
The BJP has emerged as the main opposition party in West Bengal, pocketing 77 assembly seats.
