Kolkata :  West Bengal coronavirus updates. Orange zones Nadia, Murshidabad, Birbhun , Malda , Hooghly, Paschim Midnapur, South 24 Parganas and Purba Bardwan registered new covid-19 positive cases. 127 new covid-19 confirmed cases registered today in West Bengal. Also 60 persons discharged from hospital and 4 died.The total number of positive cases climb to 3459, including 1341 discharged and 201 deaths.

As on May 23 (Saturday), Kolkata reported 43 new cases , Howrah 19, North 24 Parganas registered 8 fresh cases, Hooghly 21, South 24 parganas 7, Malda 2, Murshidabad 7 ( 19 in last 24 hours. From Nabagram, Saktipur, Lalgola, Farakka, Salar, Lalbhag-Jiaganj, Domkal etc) , Nadia 6 (from Ranaghat 2 block) , Purba Burdwan 4, Paschim Burdwan 01, Green zone Uttar Dinajpur 04, Dakshin Dinajpur 01 and Bankura 1 ( Bankura reported first corona positive case )

• Total deaths due to comorbidity – 72
• Active covid-19 cases – 1900 (+63)
• Discharged rate (4/3) : 37.03%
