This Phenomena occurs when One of the Earth’s Pole has its maximum tilt away from the Sun .The amazing “Solstice” word originates from the Latin solstitium signifying “sun Stands Still“, when the ‘Movement of sun’s way‘ stops quickly. The day and time of the solstice shift every year.

Otherwise called midwinter, the wonders happens two times every year, once in every side of the equator. In the Northern Hemisphere it is the December solstice and in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s June solstice.

In the Northern Hemisphere, it happens when the sun is straightforwardly over the Tropic of Capricorn, situated at 23.5° south of the equator. This tilt in Earth’s hub of pivot gives diverse parts of the planet more presentation to the Sun at various occasions of the year.

In December, the Earth’s North Pole gets some distance from the Sun, giving the Southern Hemisphere the most daylight.
