Sydney : Kevin Roberts is set to become first Australian high profile cricket arena casualty, with the Cricket Australia to part ways with it chief executive as result of fallout crisis from the COVID-19 pandemic. Roberts exit is set to come only 20 months since he won the job running Australian Cricket.
According to Sydney Morning Herald , Cricket Australia board has already made a call on Roberts and his departure will be announced on Wednesday.
The report also indicate that the Cricket Australia has lost all confidence in Roberts over the last 14 days with morale within board at an all-time low after the majority were stood down on 20 percent pay in April, where he was only slashed 80 per cent.
Kevin Roberts , who was contracted until the end of next year but is set to follow Todd Greenverg (NRL) and Raelene Castle (Rugby Australia) as the third CEO of a major Australian sporting code out the door in the past two months.
Members of Cricket Australia Board held an emergency meeting on Sunday to put handover arrangements in place for replacement. However, the report did not give any details about the interim Chief Executive.
