Masked Men Attack Bangladeshi Reporters Covering National Election Campaign
Around two dozen masked young people assaulted a gathering of Bangladeshi Reporters with hockey sticks and mallet, harming around 10 of them, when they were resting at a lodging in the wake of covering a National Election rally. The occurrence, which happened late on Monday in the town of Nawabgonj around 40 km (25 miles) from the capital Dhaka, is the most recent in a progression of fierce assaults that have defaced crusading for a national race on Dec. 30. “Some of us had to take shelter inside the toilet out of fear,” Abdullah Tuhin, a journalist with a local TV channel, told Reuters. “The attackers threatened our colleagues and asked us to leave the place immediately or face serious consequences.
Dhaka Reporters Unity, an association body, said huge numbers of its individuals had been “genuinely harmed” in the strike. Reuters couldn’t quickly affirm the idea of the wounds.

Dhaka region’s best police official, Shah Mizan, said a police group sent to the hotel after the episode had not possessed the capacity to quickly figure out who the assailants were. No captures have so far been presented in the masked attack case.
