Pakistan Army summons previous ISI boss Durrani over book co-created with ex-RAW Chief
Pakistan Army : Pakistan’s capable armed force has summoned previous ISI boss Asad Durrani to look for his explaination over a book he co-created with India’s ex-spy boss AS Dulat, blaming him for ‘damaging’ the military implicit rules.
Lieutenant General (retd) Durrani, who headed the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) office from August 1990 till March 1992, alongside Dulat has stated “The Spy Chronicles: RAW, ISI and the Illusion of Peace”. The book was discharged on Wednesday.
The Pakistan Army in an announcement said that Durrani was being called to General Headquarters (GHQ) on May 20 and “will be requested to clarify his situation on sees credited to him in book ‘Spy Chronicles’.”
“Attribution taken as infringement of Military Code of Conduct pertinent on all serving and resigned military work force,” as indicated by the announcement issued the previous evening.
Durrani was summoned after expelled Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday requested a dire gathering of the powerful National Security Committee (NSC) to talk about the substance of the book.
Previous director Pakistan Senate Raza Rabbani scrutinized the book by match spy boss.
“Had a government official done likewise he would have been marked a trickster,” he said.
