Religious Fanaticism following Quran burning viral video

Stockholm, Sweden : Riots have broken out in Malmo, a town in the southern part of Sweden, after far-right activist burnt a copy of holy religious book ‘Quran’. According to the Malmo police, no private person was injured, few policemen had minor injuries and about 15 demonstrators were detained, after Sweden riots on late Friday.

However, in a viral video, right wing extremist had burnt the Quran following the arrest of the leader of a far-right Danish political party was arrested ahead of a planned meeting in the town, Dailymail reported.

According to the Daily Aftonbladet report, three men had earlier been seen kicking a copy of the ‘Quran’ around a public square during anti-Islam protests earlier on Friday.

About 300 protesters threw stones at police and burned tyres in Malmo amidst ‘Allahu Akbar’ chants on late Friday. The demonstrations had escalated in the same place where the ‘Quran’ had been burned earlier.

However, the burning of ‘Quran’ was a part of anti-Islam protests which were sparked after Rasmus Paludan, leader of Danish far-right political party Hard line, had been denied permission to have a meeting in Malmo and was stopped at Swedish border, according to local newspaper Daily Aftonbladet.

Rasmus Paludan, who is known for his anti-Muslim rhetoric, had been banned from Sweden fro two year, Sweden authorities said Friday.

Paludan was arrested on Friday near Malmo, where he was supposed to take part in an anti-Islam rally where he has asked people to burn the Quarn.

Meanwhile, Paludan,a lawyers who last year sparked controversy when he burnt a copy of Quran surrounded by bacon, a meat which is deemed unclean by Muslims, later put up a scathing massage on Facebook. which read “Sent back and banned from Sweden for two years. However, rapists and murderer are always welcomes”
