Liberty Power Outage causes heavy difficulties

Liberty : A couple of transformers have caught fire near Highway 291 and brown street. This has caused a large power outage in the southern section of Liberty. According to Missouri Police Department, there are several energy crews working on the power outage. They are hoping to have power restored in the next 2-3 hours. The extreme cold temperature and blowing snow are causing problems.
Liberty Police has squad vehicles captured a transformer fire along Missouri Highway 291 that led to massive power outage in Liberty during a bitter snap Thursday, December 22.

Temperatures dramatically dropped Thursday to -4 and -30 with the wind chill as wind gusts of 30 miles per hour also below falling snow all over the surrounding area, making visibility low and travel difficulty.
