Beverly Hills protesters demonstrating for Educational equality
Beverly Hills, LA : Police arrested multiple protesters at Santa Monica, Thursday night, as Black Lives Matters tries to protests in Beverly Hills after declaring an unlawful assembly. The protest began at 6:30 p.m and was hosted by Black future project.
The peaceful demonstration started at 6:30 p.m at Beverly Hills high school, near Moreno and Lasky drives. The protesters were demanding for equal school funding in all Los Angeles County schools, regardless of ZIP code.
‘Black Future Project’, which organized the protest, stated in an Instagram post that “Beverly Hills, having historically separated themselves from the city of Los Angeles in an act of deliberate wealth hoarding, is an iconic representation of systems of oppression we strive to fight against and dismantle .. ”
According to Police department, protesters were travelling east on Santa Monica Boulevard from Moreno drive, there they were arrested.
