Florida Highway Crash : Fuel Spill Sparks Massive Fire Kills 7 ,Several Others Hospitalized
Deadly Highway Crash in Florida
Florida Highway Crash. Two major rigs and two traveler vehicles impacted and spilled diesel fuel over a Northern Florida Highway Thursday, starting a monstrous fire that killed seven individuals. The disaster area occurred on Interstate 75 about a mile south of Alachua, close Gainesville. The flames were fed by around 50 gallons of diesel.
Authorities at first said six had died but late Thursday night revealed a seventh victim had perished. Eight people were rushed to hospitals after the Florida Crash where 7 people were pronounced dead.
Unfortunately, this is a mass casualty crash with fire and an extensive scene. The crash is in the NB lanes. We needed to keep a route for first responders open. We apologize for delays in the commute. This required all hands on deck. The closure is going to be lengthy. https://t.co/hslC4aqHFT
