Google + Shutting Down on April 2

Download your archive and get ready to bid farewell to Google Plus on 2nd April 2019. After a security vulnerability impacted more than 5,00,000 of its users, google announced in late 2018, that it would be shuttering down Google+ Social network. On a latest news update on Google+ shutdown , google aware its users that On April 2 all content on the Google+ platform will be deleted .

Though the date is still couple of of months away ,Google is warning starting on April-2 , all Google+ pages will be removed. Content from personal Google+ accounts will also be deleted on the date including all photos and videos . Users can download their important personal data easily in the meantime . According to Google , the full deletion process will take a few months and some Google+ contents might remain visible to G suit users .

To prepare for the full shutdown , Google will remove the ability to create new Google+ profiles, pages, Communities or events by 4th February 2019. Also google+ sign-in buttons will stop working in coming weeks. The features of google+ comment system for bloggers will be removed by March 7.

Google officially said that “From all of us from Google+ team , thank you for making Google+ such a special place. We are grateful for the talented groups of artists , community builders and thought leaders who made Google+ their home. It would not have been the same without your passion and dedication.”

Google also said that “Between now and the shut down , we recommend you let your followers know where they can see your content outside of Google+ .Consider creating a post that lists yours website, blogs, social media channels and other ways to stay in touch “
