Peace Officers Memorial Day 2020 – On Friday, Duluth Police Department to pay tribute to the law enforcement officers who have made ultimate sacrifice for the country . At 9:30 P.M on National Peace Officers Memorial Day 2020, around 100 squad cars from Duluth and other law enforcement agencies across the sate will drive across the Aerial Lift Bridge which will be illuminated with blue lights.

According to source , Duluth Police squad will depart from the DECC parking lot, travel east on Railroad Street, then turn right on South Lake Avenue , where they will cross Aerial Lift Bridge and travel down to the end of Park point and back .

The National Peace Officers Memorial Day 2020 special possession takes the place of the state’s typical ceremony , where thousands usually gather .

Most of these traditional events have been cancelled during the novel coronavirus pandemic. This virtual event is a way for law enforcement agencies in the region and across the state to remember their fallen.

Also in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day 2020, Governor Tim Walz has directed all flags at state and federal buildings in Minnesota to be flown at half staff from sunrise to sunset on Friday.
