Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Central Pennsylvania
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued additional severe thunderstorm warnings for Central Pennsylvania. NWS announced Severe thunderstorm warning including Harrisburg PA, Hershey PA, Colonial Park PA until 3:30 PM EDT.
The dangerous storm now includes portions of Dauphin County in addition to northwestern York County and Central Cumberland County . The warning has been extended until 3:30 P.M

The storm is moving northeast with wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter sized hail, which is warned to be damaging to vehicles.

Wind damage is expected to trees , roofs and siding and people in affected areas are urged to seek shelter in sturdy buildings.
Affected areas in Dauphin County include Harrisburg , Lower Allen, Harshey, Colonial Park, Progress , Mechanicsburg, Middletown, Camp hill, Palmyra , New Cumberland, Linglestown, Steelton, Lemoyne, Hummelstown, Paxtonia, Rutherford, Skyline view, Lawnton, Valley Green and Boiling Springs.
Affected highway areas include the Pennsylvania Turnpike from mile markers 233 to 258 , Interstate 81 from mile markers 68 to 81.Interstate 83 from mile markers 30 to 50 and Interstate 283 from mile markers 0 to 2 – report.
