Oscar Nominated Actor Danny Aiello Dies

It was a sad news for entertainment arena . The Oscar nominated actor Danny Aiello passed away at the age of 86 on Friday morning. He was being treated for a sudden illness in a medical facility in New Jersey when he suffered an infection related to the treatment. Danny survived by his wife Sandy and four children.

Danny Aiello was born in 1933 and began acting 40 years later. His first role coming in the Robert De Niro baseball drama , ‘Bang the Drum slowly’. One of his best film was ‘The Godfather : Part II’ . Danny played Tony Rosato in the movie and delivered the popular line “Michael Corleone Says hello ! ”

Danny Aiello‘s most popular role came in Spike Lee’s beloved drama ‘Do the Right Think’ in 1989. There he played Sal , owner of Sal’s Pizzeria , and one of the main character in the film. Aiello earned Oscar nomination for best supporting actor for this film.
