George Floyd : Santa Ana Protest
Santa Ana, Online Desk : Around 500 protestors gathered in Santa Ana on Saturday night to protest the deadly arrest of George Floyd in Minneapolis on Monday. The peaceful protests turn violent in Orange County. Protestors throws bottles, Fireworks at Police officers. In response, the Santa Ana police deployed tear gas to control the violent demonstration.

The unlawful demonstrations began at around 8 p.m at McFadden Avenue and Bristol street .
Acoording to CBS local, the crowd dispersed to various locations around the city. Santa Ana PD Corporal Anthony Bertagna said a few arrests were made, through an exact number was not immediately available.

He added ‘one O.C. Sheriff’s deputy has injured and transported to the hospital’
However, by 9 p.m (Saturday night) , Orange County law enforcement had declared an unlawful assembly and a “code Checkmate Charlie” . It means law enforcement resources from all other O.C cities are being requested for assistance in Santa Ana.
