Austin Protest: At least 5 gunshot heard on FB Live

Austin, Texas: A person has been shot dead during a Black Lives Matter protest in Austin in the Southern US state of Texas. A Facebook Live broadcast of a Austin protest late Saturday night captured the sound of multiple gunshots going off and people running in panic.

According to Austin Police one person is deceased after shots were fired in downtown Austin during a protest. The victim may have been carrying a rifle, approached a vehicle and shot. A suspect has been apprehended. Incident is being investigated as a homicide.

A Facebook live video showed protesters marching up Congress Avenue. A group bunched together at the corner of 4th and Congress when gunshots rang out. According to a eyewitness, “Austin folks are peacefully marching when a driver in a blue car suddenly shot and killed one of the protester”
